A Nigerian couple was trusting God for the fruit of the womb for close to a year on their own, yet nothing fruitful had happened. Out of frustration, they visited my office to lay complaints about their inability to have kids. First, I prayed with them and assured them of God’s unfailing mercy and love and His ability to grant them a baby. They believed and went home.
Three months later, nothing had happened. Out of frustration, they returned to my office one fateful Friday afternoon. You could visibly see tears in their eyes as a result of the disappointment they claimed to have encountered. It was the day of his wife’s menstrual cycle, so the anticipation was that at least his wife was not going to bleed. They were expecting her to get pregnant and again nothing happened. She had seven days of normal menstrual flow.
This occurrence was a massive blow to them, and that necessitated their coming to my office. The husband screamed and said, “Man of God, what wrong have we done to God to deserve this punishment? We were expecting to have received a pregnancy by now; however, nothing is happening”. I screamed at the top of my voice and said, “My God never fails!” I drew a piece of paper from my office desk and wrote “Sex of the Child: Female” and again I wrote “Results of Test: Positive”. I handed the piece of paper to them with what I had written and demanded they go to the nearby hospital to do a pregnancy test and return in fifteen minutes. Fifteen minutes later, they returned with a pregnancy test, and the test proved that the woman had gotten pregnant instantly.
She finished her seven-day cycle before they came to cry in my office, but I challenged them to a test to prove that God can get her pregnant without her husband sleeping with her. Nine months later, the couple had given birth to a baby girl. These acts of miracles are not normal. How can a lady get pregnant on the same day without the husband sleeping with her, or how could a woman get pregnant in fifteen minutes without a man sleeping with her?
This is an incredible, mind-blowing miracle. The God that parted the Red Sea and the God that made Mary conceive is the same God that gave this Nigerian couple a baby girl. The couple had since gone ahead to give birth to three children in addition.
