The story of Collins and his wife is an intriguing one, filled with surprises and suspense. This couple had lost their way and found themselves heading in the wrong direction. Unknowingly, they stumbled upon the Tamale Sports Stadium in the Northern Region of Ghana, where our church service was coming to a close. Congregants were streaming out of the church in large numbers, and I stood by the altar, engaged in conversation with a few individuals who sought to speak with me.
Suddenly, I noticed a couple walking into the chapel, which surprised me since we had already concluded the service. Curiosity piqued, I asked why they had entered the church. They explained that they were searching for a specific man from their tribe. Acting on a divine impulse, I called them forward and declared, “You may have thought you were seeking a man, but God has brought you here for a purpose. You and your wife do not yet have a child, and the Lord desires to bless you with a baby girl”.
As it turned out, Collins and his wife had been married for six years without any signs of conception. They had tirelessly journeyed far and wide in search of a solution. Yet it was God who orchestrated their steps to bring them to our church, where I could speak a life-changing word into their lives. Two weeks later, they returned with the incredible news that, for the first time in six years, the wife had tested positive for pregnancy.
With joy and anticipation, they visited the church seven months into the pregnancy to share the visible evidence of their miracle. And after ten months, when the wife had given birth, they came back to the church with a grand gesture of thanksgiving and appreciation—a large, white sheep—to express their gratitude.
